Mr. Batiste Class of 2027
*9th Grade Counselor*
My name is Angela R. Batiste. I was born and raised in Port Arthur, TX about an hour away from Baytown. I worked in Port Arthur ISD for over 10 years before coming to Goose Creek CISD. I am beginning my 10th year in the Goose and 1st year at Lee High School as 9th grade counselor. I was at Gentry Junior School for 2 years and Highlands Junior School for 7 years.
I graduated from Lamar University Beaumont in 2017 with a Master Degree of Education in School Counseling. I also have a teacher certification in the area of Special Education. I have one son who is in college and during my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, and watching reality TV. Glad to be a part of the Gander Family.

Mrs. Calzoncinth Class of 2026

I am Erny Calzoncinth, the 10th grade counselor at Robert E. Lee High School. I attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake where I earned my Bachelor of Art in History and Secondary Social Studies Education. I then attended Lamar University for my Master of Education in School Counseling. I am currently in my 12th year of education and am excited to start my first year as a counselor with the Class of 2026! I am looking forward to a fun and rewarding year!

I am Laurie Cervantes, the 11th grade counselor at Robert E. Lee High School. I attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I then continued my education at the University of Houston-Clear Lake and earned a Masters in Reading and eventually obtained my Masters in School Counseling. I am entering my 19th year of education, and my 10th year as a counselor. I look forward to a successful year serving the Gander class of '25!!!

I am Kristie Smith, and I will be the 12th grade counselor. I am excited to begin my first year as a Gander at Lee High School. I attended the University of Houston Clear Lake where I received my bachelor’s degree in business, Concordia University where I received my master’s degree in education administration, and finally, Lamar University where I received my master’s degree in school counseling. This is my 16th year in education and my first year as a school counselor. I look forward to my first year at Lee as your 12th grade counselor.

My name is Nallely Carmona Peña and I am the Student Wellness Interventionist Counselor at Lee High School. I attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake where I received my bachelors in bilingual education and masters in school counseling, with an additional bilingual counseling certification. Before coming to Lee, I spent eight years as a bilingual and Spanish teacher in elementary and high school. I began my counseling career at an intermediate school in 2018. Now, I’m proud to call myself a Gander! I’m really excited to begin my fourth year at Lee and make it the best year yet!

Hi Everyone!! Mrs. Kujawa is really excited to be the College and Career Counselor. I have a Bachelor’s in Science in Psychology, Master’s with a Focus on Young Children with Disabilities and Master’s in Counseling. I obtained all my degrees from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I am starting my seventeenth year in Education and my ninth year as a Counselor. I Look forward to a wonderful school year and helping students to plan their futures. Go Ganders!!
